The HR team at Brookdale, led by Karen Giaquinto, HR Director, reached out to workplace evaluation firm Great Place to Work to survey Brookdale employees.
The goal? First, and foremost, check in on employee health. Is our team happy? Where can we improve? Next, put our people-first company culture to the test via Great Place to Work’s proprietary employee survey.
The results? To put it short – Brookdale scored well above average compared to a typical company and we gained valuable insights to better serve our team!
A company is only as good as its people...
When our founders planned and built Brookdale there were many unknowns – from construction planning to program development, the team behind Brookdale navigated the process dynamically.
What was always known from day one was that we needed to find the best and brightest therapists, treatment professionals, and doctors the world could offer. To find and acquire the best, we needed a company culture that embraces ingenuity, empowers critical thinking and teamwork, and pushes the envelope on evidence-based addiction treatment.
We’re often asked, “what makes Brookdale unique?” The simple answer? Our team. It’s the nurse that effortlessly exudes comfort to patients going through detox. Or the therapist that connects at the deepest level. It’s also those behind the scenes taking pride in their role which, as a team, creates the harmony that is Brookdale. What’s more, our staff is supported by a servant leadership style by the executive team which fosters growth and continued improvement across the board.
Survey results...
Brookdale treated our first patient in August 2019. Almost three years later we continue to grow our team of addiction profressionals. Employees with 2-5 years of tenure represent 32% of our workforce. Employees with <2 years tenure represent 68% of our workforce.
