Dedicating her professional career to the service of those suffering from substance use disorder, Samantha Smith joins the Brookdale Leadership team as the Clinical Director and Director of Signature Program. Spearheading Brookdale’s newly established Signature Program, Sam comes to us with over 15 years of experience, specializing in the cultivation of clinical programs tailored to the executive population and their needs.
A graduate of Penn State University, Samantha received her BA in 2006 and is currently attending Alvernia University. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Associate Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT) and Associate Multiple Addiction Therapist (AMAT).
While attending school, Sam began a clinical internship at the VA with a focus on substance abuse and dual diagnosis. It was there that she truly felt inspired and has since been committed to helping individuals and their families who have been affected by addiction. Upon graduation, Sam worked as a therapist for Bowling Green Brandywine, before joining the clinical team at Caron Treatment Centers. She would spend the next 13 years at Caron, holding positions as therapist, supervisor and most recently, Executive Director of Grand View at Caron.
As a member of our leadership team, Sam hopes to help Brookdale grow as a premier and sought after treatment center, in addition to developing clinical skill sets and producing an executive program that delivers tailored and exceptional treatment.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys exercise, the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her two children and family.
