“Passion without eloquence is futile.” - Nelson Mandela
As Clinical Team Lead for Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery, Phillip Jones brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge to our Clinical Team, making him an invaluable asset to our organization.
Born and raised in South Bronx, NY, Phillip graduated from Long Island University CW Post, where he obtained a BA in Criminal Justice. He went on to further his education at Hunter Graduate School of Social Work, receiving his Master of Social Work (MSW).
In the past 25 years, Phillip has worked in several modalities of Social Services including Mental Health and Substance Abuse. His curriculum vitae includes experience as a Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, Coordinator, Counselor and Support Staff. These experiences have afforded him the opportunity to learn the value of teamwork and respecting every role on the team. It is his belief that patients and staff are a team working together to empower the individual to recognize their innate abilities and self-worth that make them productive members of society.
While his long-term experience in the field has allowed him the opportunity to meet many prominent, positive and influential professionals, his dedication and commitment has always been spearheaded by the gratification of having the ability to provide people with hope and the necessary tools to change their lives. Phillip tells us, “Life is about facing many adversities and my personal trials have provided me insight and passion to help motivate, encourage, empower and guide others who struggle on this journey called life.”
Phillip says his greatest accomplishment in life is his family. His wife and two daughters keep him constantly conscience of the importance of contributing and maintaining the community.
As Clinical Team Lead for Brookdale, Phillip’s goal is to support others in recognizing that each step of the journey, even the difficult ones, promotes resilience and the opportunity to say, “If I survived this, I have the ability to overcome and excel!”
