A highly accomplished professional and person in long-term recovery, Mark’s service to helping those afflicted by the disease of addiction find quality treatment has become his life’s work. He has a comprehensive background in clinical programming, business development, and treatment program operations, having helped establish and operate over 30 of the most recognized treatment centers throughout the country.
After graduating from high school in Plainfield New Jersey, Mark went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University. Mark’s work in the treatment industry began as an alcoholism counselor at Perth Amboy General Hospital, which soon after would emerge into a professional career of many successes.
Mark has held various positions in his 4 decades of service including Vice President and Director of Operations at Lifemark Corporation, Director of Marketing for Conifer Park, Vice President and Marketing Operations for Mediplex in New York, and has been the Executive Director and CEO of several programs including Spofford Hall, Arms Acres, Alina Lodge and Burning Tree in Austin, TX.
Throughout his tenure, Mark was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans, recruiting sales teams, clinical program development, day-to-day operations, and managing critical and successful business turnaround for troubled operations. His most recent appointment was held at Clearbrook Treatment Centers where he was the National Marketing and Development Officer for 9 years.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys ice hockey, fishing, going to concerts, spending time with his wife, two children, and three grandchildren. Mark is also a life-long surfer, having traveled and lived in many places around the world including Hawaii, Miami, San Francisco, Mexico, and Southern California, on his quest to catch the best wave. He has also lived in New York, Texas, and New Jersey, where he resides today with his wife of 43 years.
With the current opioid epidemic our country is facing, Mark feels as obligation to help as many people as possible find quality, effective treatment. As Business Development Director for Brookdale Recovery, he hopes to fulfill that goal and show people what a life…recovered looks like.
