Possessing an undeniable passion, commitment and over 20 years of clinical practice in the field of medicine, Dr. Douglas Coslett has played an instrumental role in Brookdale’s Medical Department. Through his various professional experiences and extraordinary ability to bond with patients, Dr. C. provides a standard of care that is unparalleled.
Dr. Coslett is an alumnus of Kings College, graduating summa cum laude in 1985 and Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine of Thomas Jefferson University, obtaining his Doctorate in Medicine in 1989. Dr C. is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventative Medicine. In addition, he continues to maintain active Board Certification in Gynecology.
Prior to his appointment at Brookdale, Dr. Coslett practiced medicine in Northeastern Pennsylvania for 23 years and has held numerous physician leadership and administrative roles from 2006 to 2020. Through his many years of clinical exposure to those suffering with substance use disorder, alongside education and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) certifications, Dr. Coslett became fascinated with the science and medicine of addiction. As a physician here at Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery, he aims to provide “light, hope and sobriety to those stuck in the darkness of addiction,” helping the individual put their lives and families back together again.
Accompanied by an insatiable thirst to learn something new every day, Dr. C. enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, going to the opera, cycling, cooking and trying all kinds of cuisines.
