“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” -John Holmes
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Daniela moved to the Pocono Mountains in middle school. Since then her roots in the community have grown deep. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a BA in Communications and a minor in English. Beyond her degree, she is licensed with the American Council of Exercise Personal Trainer (CPT) and Exercise Group Fitness Instructor. In addition, she is a registered yoga teacher with advanced Ayurveda Studies, a Schwinn Cycle Instructor and certified Barre Instructor.
Daniela has worked in the fitness industry for nearly a decade, helping those at every level of the fitness journey, from professional athletes to beginners. One of her many reasons for working in addiction treatment is seeing a person change their whole attitude towards life, by simply adding fitness and self-care into their daily regimen. She was amazed that teaching people about health and wellness had so much to do with their confidence and the overall happiness they felt inside. Daniela continues to bring that gift out in people struggling with addiction.
Outside of work you can find Daniela spending time with her family, traveling, practicing yoga and being outdoors. Her main goal at Brookdale is to positively impact each person through kindness, and to teach each person not only how valuable they are, but also that they are so much stronger (inside and out) than they realize.
