“Life isn't about overcoming your fears and then going forward, it is about lovingly embracing those fears and stepping forward together.” - M.M. van der Reijden
Louise has been working with Brookdale since 2023 as a clinical counselor. She has more than 10 years of experience of working in skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers, psychiatric intensive care, and with individuals in recovery who resided in halfway houses, sober living and shelters at the outpatient level.
Louise leveraged her passion for helping others improve their quality of life to pursue a Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling with a focus in substance use and addictions. She successfully completed and graduated from Antioch University in 2021.
She is currently working toward obtaining her LPC and maintains her NCC with the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is a self-proclaimed lifelong learner and uses that approach to help provide others with a safe space to be their authentic selves.
Outside of work, Louise enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two beloved senior dogs.
